Dr. Wilcox is one of very few who performs true, classical acupuncture. This is the acupuncture taught to the Yellow Emperor of China by his Heavenly Master a few thousand years ago. Most in America and Canada are not trained to do this more profound acupuncture but instead do variations of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) acupuncture, which is a simplified, diminished system developed in China in the mid 20^th century under the direction of Chairman Mao Zedong after he took power. Ancient classical acupuncture is more powerful and effective on a wider range of health problems. When properly performed it is totally painless!

Dr. Wilcox began his study of acupuncture in 1974 and has practiced in New Mexico since 1978. His primary teacher was Sensei Masahilo Nakazono who founded the Kototama Institute in Santa Fe. After graduation and a significant internship with Sensei Nakazono, Dr. Wilcox then taught at the Kototama Institute.

Dr. Wilcox is a licensed Doctor or Oriental Medicine in New Mexico.

Dr. Wilcox always combines Acupuncture with Manual Therapy and Deep Abdomen & Organ Massage. Each treatment session last about 45 minutes.
